Terms of service
The deal, in words you can actually hold us to.
Free for job seekers, and permanently. We are not your employer and we never promise you a job. You keep everything you write here and you can take it back in one step. There is no arbitration clause and no class action waiver in this document.

Free, with no asterisk
No paid tier for job seekers, no upsell, no card on file. Employers pay for the platform, which is exactly why you never do.
We do not hire you
Futureful shows you real open roles and why they matched. Employers decide who is hired. Nothing here is a promise of a job, an interview, or a wage.
You keep your work
Your resume and your answers stay yours. We use them to run the service for you, and that permission ends the moment you delete them.
The agreement
These terms are the agreement between you and Futureful, the operator of futureful.app and the Futureful product, for your use of it. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
They work with the privacy policy, which explains what we do with your information, and with Your protections, which says the same thing in plainer words. If you are under 18, please read these with a parent or guardian.
Who may use Futureful
- You must be at least 13. Someone under 13 cannot create an account, and the service refuses it on the server rather than asking the browser nicely.
- If you are 13 to 17, you need a parent or guardian’s permission, and we ask for their name and email so we can record it.
- One account per person, and the information in it should be true. A résumé that is not yours, or an age that is not yours, breaks this agreement and hurts the person the account is pretending to be.
- If you sign up on behalf of an organization, a school, a district, a program or an employer, you are saying you are allowed to agree to this on its behalf.
What Futureful is, and what it is not
Futureful helps you find real, currently open, paid work, shows you why each role matched you, and gives you tools to get ready for it. That is what we do and it is all we claim to do.
We are not your employer, we are not a staffing agency, and we are not a party to any job you get. We do not decide who is hired. An employer does. Nothing here is a promise of a job, an interview, a wage, or a result.
We are also not a licensed adviser. Nothing here is legal, financial, immigration, medical or educational advice, and a tool that helps you think about a decision is not the same as a professional who is accountable for it.
Free for job seekers
Futureful is free for job seekers, and it stays that way. There is no paid tier for job seekers, no upsell, no card on file, and no charge for anything a job seeker can do here. Employers and organizations pay for the platform. Any paid arrangement with an employer or an organization is covered by its own written agreement with us, not by this document.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us at info@futureful.app if you think someone else has got into your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account while you control it.
Signing in on a shared or public computer signs you in for up to 30 days unless you sign out. Sign out when you are finished on a machine that is not yours.
What you put in, and what we may do with it
Your résumé, your answers and anything else you add stay yours. We do not claim ownership of any of it.
You give us permission to store it, read it, and use it to run the service for you: to match you with roles, to show you the reasons behind a match, to build the documents you ask us to build, and to show what you chose to show to an employer you raised your hand to. That permission exists so the product can work, and it ends when you delete the content or the account.
You are telling us that what you upload is yours to upload, and that it does not infringe anybody else’s rights.
Job listings come from other people
The roles you see come from public job sources and from employers’ own job feeds. We do not write those postings and we cannot guarantee that a posting is accurate, current, or still open, because the employer can change or close it at any moment without telling us.
If you spot a listing that is wrong, expired, discriminatory, or a scam, tell us at info@futureful.app and we will look at it. We remove what does not belong here.
When you leave Futureful to apply on an employer’s own site, you are on their site under their terms, not ours.
The AI features
Some features use AI models to read and write language: to read a résumé you upload, to explain a match, to answer a question, to run a practice interview. The privacy policy says exactly where those words go and on what terms.
AI output can be wrong. Check anything important before you rely on it, especially a fact about an employer, a wage, or a requirement for a role. Every number in this product is computed by our own code from your own answers and from real postings, and a model is never allowed to invent one.
What you agree not to do
- Pretend to be someone else, or use someone else’s résumé, identity or account.
- Scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract data from the service, or try to rebuild our job index from it.
- Break, probe or work around the security of the service, or try to reach data that is not yours.
- Post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, or sexual, and anything at all directed at a minor that would not be appropriate from a stranger.
- Use the service to advertise, to recruit for a scheme, to charge a job seeker a fee, or to sell anything to the people on it.
- Use anything you see here for any purpose other than hiring, if you are an employer, or than finding work, if you are a seeker.
If you are an employer or a partner
Everything you see about a candidate is for hiring, for the role they raised their hand to, and for nothing else. You may not sell it, share it outside your organization, add it to a marketing list, or use it to make a decision that has nothing to do with this job.
You are responsible for following employment law, which includes equal opportunity, pay transparency where it applies, and every rule that governs employing a young person. We show you candidates. We do not screen them for you, and we never decide for you.
Candidates under 18 are handled differently at the data layer, not by a setting you can change. Fields are restricted, and there is no path for an employer to message a minor directly.
Safety
If something on Futureful worries you, especially anything involving a young person, write to info@futureful.app and say so. We would rather look at ten things that turn out to be nothing than miss one. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
Ending it
You can leave at any time. Settings, then “Delete my account”. You are asked to type DELETE so it cannot happen by accident, your uploaded files are removed before the account is, and if any of them cannot be removed the deletion stops rather than leaving your résumé behind. If you have an active referral or placement running through us, the automatic delete stops and asks you to email us, and a person finishes it.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is being used to harm someone, or that we are required to close by law. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why and give you a way to reply, because an account closed with no explanation is indistinguishable from a bug.
The service, as it is
We work hard to keep Futureful correct and available, and we do not promise it will be perfect or uninterrupted. We provide it as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for a job you did not get, or for a listing an employer changed. Nothing in this document limits liability for anything the law does not let us limit, including fraud, and nothing in it takes away a right you have under the consumer law where you live.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, the effective date at the top of this page changes with them, and if a change is material we will tell account holders directly rather than quietly reposting the page. Continuing to use Futureful after a change means you accept the new version. If you do not, close your account, which you can do in one step and at any time.
Where disputes are handled
Futureful is operated from California, in the United States, and these terms are governed by California law, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
There is no arbitration requirement here, and no class-action waiver. You keep every right you would otherwise have to bring a claim, including in a small claims court. Nothing here removes a protection the law where you live gives you.
Before anything formal, please write to info@futureful.app. Most things are a misunderstanding and are fixed in a day.
The rest
These terms, the privacy policy, and any written agreement your organization has with us are the whole agreement about the service. If a court finds one clause unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we do not enforce something immediately, we have not given it up. You may not transfer this agreement to someone else; we may transfer it if the business is transferred, and your rights under it come with you.
Reaching a person
Write to info@futureful.app about anything in this document, or reach us through support. A real person reads it.
